About Me

I’m Sam London, an aspiring tattoo artist, inspired by nature and dark subject matter with a focus on American Traditional and black and grey realism illustration.

I received an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Essex County College in 2020 and I will graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Illustration at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 2022. I am motivated, passionate, and wear my heart—and my tattoos—on my sleeve.

My love of illustration, specifically tattooing, started before I entered High School. I began drawing on myself, and eventually my friends, in permanent marker and was soon warned by many adults in my life that I would get ink poisoning from it. Like any reasonable teenager would do, I ignored them all. After graduating from High School, I abandoned the risky practice, but never lost my fascination for the novelty of tattoos. Several months after turning 18, I set out and got my first tattoo of many to come (It’s always a work in progress).

Upon receiving my Illustration Degree, I will seek out a mentor to teach me the ins and outs of the craft, continue to grow as an artist, and launch myself into my career of tattoo artistry.
